LOVELAND, COLORADO, USA,  Aleph Objects Inc. have started shipping pre-ordered LulzBot® TAZ Pro 3D Printers in production quantities.

The LulzBot TAZ Pro provides out-of-the-box dual extrusion with professional results.

Grant Flaharty, CEO, stated, "We had the most pre-orders in company history after announcing the TAZ Pro on March 28. We have been working hard to expand production capacity to meet order demand. The TAZ Pro is the best multi-material desktop 3D printer on the market regardless of price."

The TAZ Pro's dual active-lifting hot ends with hardened-steel components enable printing with a wide range of material combinations, including flexible and rigid, strong and durable, and soluble support materials for complex designs.

The TAZ Pro provides large, dual-material printing with LulzBot’s award-winning reliability. This machine creates large functional prototypes, manufacturing aids, and print-on-demand parts with professional results.

Grant Flaharty, Aleph Objects’ CEO and President, stated, “The TAZ Pro is the first true multiple- material 3D printer with dual linear actuated hot ends at a prosumer price point.”

The TAZ Pro's multiple material capabilities goes beyond competitive offerings which are usually limited to printing with the same material type in different colors, or the second material being only for soluble support. The TAZ Pro features independent vertical lifting E3D hot ends with 360-degree part cooling, delivering clean transitions between material types with similar melting points. Durable and high-strength composite materials can be printed within the same part, as well as a wide range of materials with soluble supports for complex prints. Flexible materials with a Shore A hardness as low as 85A and industrial-grade polymers can also be printed in the same print.

The hardened-steel components of the TAZ Pro enable printing with engineered polymers or high-heat composites that are too abrasive for typical out-of-the-box desktop 3D printers. LulzBot 3D printers support the industry’s widest array of thermoplastics from leading premium filament manufacturers including flexible, rigid, composite, soluble, conductive, high strength, and chemically-resistant materials.

TAZ Pro Provides Superior Print Quality and Industrial-Grade Components

The new Z-axis belt drive delivers fast cycle times for quicker throughput. The reduction of Z wobble through the belt drive and new X/Y/Z backlash compensation improves 3D printed part quality and  accuracy. An increased size of 280 x 280 x 285 mm (11.02” x 11.02” x 11.22”) delivers a large print volume, while the dual filament run-out sensors alarm when a new filament reel is needed.

The TAZ Pro Makes it Easy to Get Professional Results, enhanced electronics provide for greater processing power and memory for complex parts, added functionality with improved visibility from a new 5” full color touch screen, and quiet operation while sitting right on your desk. TAZ Pro’s automated X/Y/Z offset calibration, nozzle wiping, and self-leveling features ensure exceptional, expedited results. Cura LulzBot Edition Software continues to include pre-configured print profiles, tested by Aleph Objects’ team of experts, for over 35 filament types.

The much-anticipated next generation of the award-winning LulzBot TAZ 6 3D Printer has made its debut. The LulzBot TAZ Workhorse Edition promises to deliver larger, faster, better quality prints, and introduces automatic X/Y/Z backlash compensation for improved print accuracy.

“Tens of thousands of users and industry analysts worldwide nicknamed TAZ the ‘Workhorse.’ Since it earned the name, we decided to own it,” said Eric Beardslee, Aleph Objects Product Marketing Manager.

As stated by 3D insider, ”When it comes to the best workhorse 3D printers on the market, the TAZ 6 is the runaway winner.”

How The Best Was Made Even Better

“People have been using TAZ 3D Printers as tools in the most demanding environments,” said Aleph Objects CTO Steven Abadie. “With the TAZ Workhorse Edition, we gathered feedback from users in these conditions and added upgrades such as a reinforced frame and sturdier electrical connectors for unparalleled durability, while improving upon the already impressive print quality.”

The LulzBot TAZ Workhorse Edition boasts a 14% bigger build volume than the TAZ 6. Getting faster, better quality prints is easier than ever with a new belt-driven Z-axis and a new, lightweight tool head design. Printing with a wide range of materials, including high-heat and high-strength composite polymers, is now possible straight out of the box with hardened-steel tool head components.  An all-new LulzBot-designed tool head with 360°cooling delivers superior overhang and bridge performance.

A Reputation for Reliability

The evolution of the TAZ Workhorse Edition, which was the result of seven iterations over six years, proved one thing over and over: the LulzBot TAZ line of 3D printers has a long-standing reputation for solid reliability. With millions of production-grade parts produced in-house with hundreds of LulzBot 3D Printers running nonstop for millions of hours, the workhorse notoriety has become an industry-proven deliverable.
